Research on the Rare Broom Hare

Broom hare photographed by Gary Bendig

It is our concern to protect not only well-known, but also little-researched animal and plant species. For this reason, we have supported a research project on the broom hare with a donation.

This species of hare has only been known since 1977 and is already threatened with extinction. Our founder Klaus Tamm came across this species by chance and decided to promote its research. Because you can only protect what you know.

With our donation, urgently needed studies on the population size, distribution and biology of the broom hare can now be carried out. We hope to contribute to the protection of this extremely rare species. For us, it is important to bring little-known species into focus. This is the only way to halt the global loss of biodiversity.
