Amphibian and Reptile Conservation

Aufwind financially supports a project for the protection of amphibians and reptiles in the Wuppertal area. The project was initiated by the dedicated herpetologist Benny Trapp.

Various measures are planned to restore and maintain the habitats of the target species. These include, for example, the creation of small water bodies as spawning grounds and the construction of dry stone walls as hiding places. In addition, regular biotope maintenance will ensure the continued existence of the populations.

With its funding, Aufwind is making it possible to implement this important species conservation project on site. Targeted habitat improvements will sustainably strengthen the protection of endangered amphibian and reptile species in the region. The commitment underlines the importance of local initiatives for the conservation of biodiversity.
